DC Home Visiting Council

DC Action leads the DC Home Visiting Council and collaboratively facilitates its city-wide strategic efforts. We convene public and private partners so that home visiting programs are sustainably funded, accessible to families who need their services most, effectively designed, and well coordinated in the District of Columbia.

DC OST Coalition

The DC OST Coalition advocates for access to high-quality learning opportunities beyond the classroom that prepare DC’s youth for success in education, career, and life. Our expertise is in strengthening the field of expanded learning – the afterschool and out-of-school-time programs that engage young people in high-quality enrichment, academic support, and social-emotional development. We serve a critical role in protecting and advancing an equitable expanded learning system essential for closing the opportunity gap.

Under 3 DC Coalition

Under 3 DC, a broad based coalition in the District of Columbia, harnesses the voices and power of parents with young children, early educators, advocates, and health professionals to create transformative social change. The Coalition’s efforts center on the people experiencing racial and economic injustice every day. It shines a spotlight on the need for more public investments to support families with infants and toddlers. Together, we can set the city on a path to creating and sustaining a high quality, equitable early childhood system.

Youth Economic Justice and Housing Coalition

Too many young people in the District of Columbia experience homelessness without a parent or guardian — and go to sleep without the safety, stability and support of a family or a home. And, the pandemic further complicated their path to stability.

The Youth Economic Justice and Housing Coalition advocates with youth and youth-serving organizations in the District of Columbia for policies, funding, and programs that expand access to comprehensive support and services that disconnected and homeless youth need to successfully transition into stable and productive adulthood.
