I'm thrilled to welcome Hanh Truong as our Communications Intern. She is a senior at the University of California Irvine majoring in Literary Journalism with a minor in Humanities and Law. Hanh has also been tutoring elementary school students and helping them to build confidence in themselves and their academic ability.
To get to know Hanh better, we asked a few key questions:
What are you most looking forward to doing while you're in DC this semester?
I haven't been to the East Coast before, so I'm excited to check out the scene and enjoy the great museums that DC has!
What's your favorite genre of music to work to?
Depending on my mood, I love listening to hip hop, but I can never go wrong with indie music. My go-to's have to be Frank Ocean, Jaden Smith, Dominic Fike or Launder!
As a child, what did you say you were going to be when you grew up?
Growing up, I wanted to be a nurse. But then I realized that you have to give people shots I changed my mind so quick! Once I became interested in the news and started to watch it from morning to night, I found my passion for journalism and writing!
What's your favorite app?
Twitter! You get the best of both worlds--you get to see what's going on in the world, what everyone's up to and quick news.
Here's the clincher...food cuisine you just can't do without?
I cannot live without sushi or chocolate! I need them to survive.
Help us give Hanh a warm welcome. She will be working with us at our Chinatown WeWork office. So pop her an email or stop by to say hello!
